An inquiry into the alleged rape and murder of an 18-year-old lady in Anwiankwanta has been launched by police in the Ashanti region.
Residents said that a group of people in a car picked up the 18-year-old trainee and offered to drop her off at her house.
When she didn’t show up for work, worried neighbors started looking for her. Tragically, her dead corpse was found in an unfinished construction not far from her home.
She was reportedly only partially clothed, which raised concerns that she may have been the victim of a sexual assault before she passed away.
She was reported missing, and a thorough investigation has been started to find out what exactly happened to cause her sudden and enigmatic death.
In an interview with Citi News, Frank Awuah, the assembly member for the Awiankwanta electoral region, stated that while the police are still looking into the matter, he urged anyone with information to come forward.
The woman’s death has shocked the Anwiankwanta neighborhood, and locals are demanding justice.
