Black Stars coach Chris Hughton’s additional duties are disclosed by GFA Henry Asante Twum, the GFA‘s director of communications, has stated that Black Stars coach Chris Hughton is permitted to provide “advice” and “guidance” to youth national teams.
The GFA believes the former Premier League manager’s experience has been helpful for Ghana football since his appointment in February.
“Chris is the Black Stars’ coach, but he also has other duties. Watching the games offers him the chance to additionally suggest players who fit the competition. advice, direction, and whatever else to the other national teams. Twum stated on WarmUp Plus on TV3 that those who are still playing for the Black Stars at the ages of U-23, U-20, and U-17 as well as those he believes also qualify for the Black Stars will be given a fair shot.
So it’s a part of the medium- to long-term process of including everyone and allowing everyone the chance to have a fair share of what is being done, the speaker continued.

Hughton, who served as technical adviser under former coach Otto Addo, has led Ghana to the verge of qualifying for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast with victories and draws in his first two matches.
