Consumer price inflation has resumed an upward trend after dropping for the first four months of the year, rising from 41.2 to 42.2 percent in April and May, respectively.

Food inflation, which rose from 48.7% in April to 51.8% last month, was the main cause of inflation.
Contrarily, non-food inflation dropped from 35.4% in April to 34.6%.
The inflation rate for goods made in-country was 36.2%, compared to 43.8% for goods imported.
