Mark Addo has been selected by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to serve as vice president for an additional term.

This unanimous choice was made during the GFA Executive Council’s inaugural meeting on Monday, October 9, 2023.

Mark Addo was proposed for the job by Dr. Ransford Abbey and seconded by Frederick Acheampong. The Executive Council then voted unanimously to confirm Mark Addo in his position as Vice President.

“I am grateful for the kindness of my brother, Dr. Randy Abbey, and the people I’ve been working with for the past four years. In our first semester together, I have learned a lot from you, and I’m sure you have too,” Mark Addo stated.

Although it hasn’t been simple, we have managed to get through it thanks to the president’s leadership. The fact that we have established something unique within the football community and the resounding encouragement from the football community speak eloquently about the work we have done over the past four years.

“In actuality, we have had a beneficial impact on Ghanaian football. In order for our football to be among the greatest, if not the best, in Africa, I will ask for your help in backing the president.

During the meeting, the newly elected members of the Ghana Football Association Executive Council were sworn in. The oaths of office and secrecy were formally taken by President Kurt Okraku and the other Council members, including Dr. Ransford Abbey, Kingsley Osei Bonsu, Frederick Acheampong, Nana Sarfo Oduro, Dr. Gifty Oware-Mensah, Eugene Nobel Amon Noel, and Gideon Fosu.

The recent Elective Congress in Tamale, which included these appointments and elections, was followed by the Executive Council meeting and swearing-in ceremony.
