Remo Stars will take on Medeama in the CAF Champions League.
In the first preliminary round of the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League, defending champions of the Ghana Premier League Medeama SC will take against Nigerian team Remo Stars.
This was made public during the CAF inter-club tournament draw, which took place on Tuesday, July 25 at the CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.
Medeama SC has previously participated in the CAF Confederation Cup in 2014 and 2017. They are about to make their Champions League debut in 2018.
Prior to traveling to Nigeria for the second leg, the Tarkwa-based club will first host Remo Stars at Cape Coast Stadium.
The first leg matches in the preliminary round are set to take place from Friday, August 18, to Sunday, August 20, while the second leg matchups are slated for August 25 to 27.
The second preliminary meeting is slated to take place between September 19 and October 1 and between September 15 and 17.
The victor of this match will compete for a spot in the group round against Guinean powerhouses Horoya AC in the second preliminary round.
