The presentation of the mid-year budget review is postponed.
According to information acquired by Rapid News GH, the mid-year budget presentation in Parliament has been delayed.
On Tuesday, July 25, Kenneth Ofori-Atta, the minister of finance, was supposed to make his presentation on the House floor.
The government wanted the presentation to take place on Thursday, July 27, therefore there was a dispute in Parliament last Friday about the date.
However, the entire procedure, which is allegedly in compliance with Section 28 of the Public Financial Management Act, 2016 (Act 921) and Regulation 24 of the Public Financial Management Regulations (L.I. 2378), has been postponed until Monday, July 31.
The presentation is an analysis of the government’s Economic Policy and Financial Statement for 2023, which Mr. Ofori-Atta presented to Parliament on November 24.
