Prior to the match against Madagascar, Thomas Partey of Arsenal has reported to the Black Stars’ camp.

After the team gathered at the Alisa Hotel on Monday, the deputy captain became the 25th player to join the camp.

Partey, Gideon Mensah, and Hafiz Konkoni were not present for the Monday training session at the Accra Sports stadium, which included 22 of the 25 players who received call-ups.

Partey departed the UK on Monday and touched down in Accra around early on Tuesday. He has stayed at the Alisa Hotel with the rest of the Black Stars team and will train with them at Accra Sports Stadium later on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.

The midfielder, who turns 30 today, was part of the Arsenal team that came close to winning their first Premier League title in 19 years.

Partey was an unused substitute in Ghana’s last game against Angola due to precautionary measures after picking up a small injury.

Ghana will face Madagascar on Sunday knowing a win will secure a place at next year’s Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
