UK-Based Ghanaian boxer Freezy Macbones joins Black Bombers for Olympic pursuit
Ghanaian boxer Seth Gyimah, also known as Freezy Macbones, competes in the UK and has accepted an invitation to join the Black Bombers, Ghana’s amateur national boxing squad.
Freezy Macbones has vowed to participate in the upcoming Africa qualifiers, which will take place in Dakar, Senegal, next month, despite having previously hinted at a potential change of international allegiance to the United Kingdom. Getting a spot for the future Olympics in Paris is the aim of this endeavor.
The fighter enthusiastically expressed his desire to support Ghana’s Olympic boxing goals in his announcement of his choice via his official Twitter account. He expressed how hard he was working to make his dream of honorably serving his country a reality.
Freezy Macbones said in a statement, “I have been asked to represent my country, Ghana, at the upcoming 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France. After the African qualifying rounds, which are expected to take place in Dakar, Senegal, next month, this adventure will begin. My current rigorous training program is focused on qualifying and winning the desired Gold the following year.
The boxer expressed his gratitude for the amazing chance and saw the possibility of competing in the biggest sporting event in the world as the realization of his long-held dreams. Freezy Macbones pledged to join Ghana’s Black Bombers in order to fulfill his duty to uphold the honor of his nation, family, and friends.

Following his victory over Darryl Sharp at London’s Copper Boxing Arena in April, the fighter gained widespread fame. He competed in a preliminary fight during the Joe Joyce vs. Zhilei Zhang main event and won by the judges’ unanimous decision.
