Leaked, a film produced and directed by Big Ghun, a singer and film director from Ghana, has been nominated for a MultiChoice Viewers’ Choice Award at this year’s Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards, which will take place on Saturday, May 20, in Lagos, Nigeria.

The most recent achievement occurs a year after his short film KORO received a nomination for Best Short Film at the previous awards event.

Even though he didn’t win, KORO had success at other international film festivals, including the Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF), where he took home the prize for Best Short Film. Big Ghun

A showmax original, “Leaked,” was commissioned as part of the Multichoice Talent Factory initiative. Leaked won the Best Viewers’ Choice film award at the Beeta Arts festival held in Abuja within the first week of its distribution.

Big Ghun told Graphic Showbiz that he was not shocked by the nomination because Leaked is presently one of the top 20 movies on Showmax.

Leaked is one of the top 20 movies on Showmax right now, and it still has room to grow. I hope Ghanaians and Africans would accept the few projects I have planned for this year as they have my past ventures, he said.

The nominees list for this year’s Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA), which is organized by Multichoice, was released, but sadly, Ghanaian cinema stars were absent.

In the Best Actress in a Comedy- (MOVIE/TV SERIES) category, Roselyn Ngissah was the only nominee.

The nominee list for the eagerly awaited ninth edition of the renowned event, which takes place next month, features a sea of Nollywood stars, including Tobi Bakre, Bimbo Ademoye, and Chidi Mokeme.

The yearly celebration, which honors exceptional performances in television, cinema, and entertainment, also includes digital content creation from Nollywood and all of Africa.
