In a thrilling friendly game on Sunday, the Black Starlets maintained their excellent form by defeating the Saudi Arabia U-17 team 3-2.

The team that recently defeated Serbia 4-0 and went on to defeat Switzerland and Spain 3-2 to win the inaugural UEFA U-16 development competition in Serbia is currently in Saudi Arabia for two upcoming friendlies in the country’s capital Riyadh.

Benjamin Tsivanyo gave Ghana the early advantage before Hammed Fiifi Peter increased the advantage four minutes later with a superb finish.

Debrah Bossman’s penalty kick conversion in the 61st minute gave the Black Starlets a third goal.

In the 63rd minute, Ali Umar was sent from the game for a violent tackle on an opponent, bringing the side down to ten men. To keep up their incredible run, they narrowly prevailed.

On May 4, Saudi Arabia will play in the rematch in an effort to exact revenge for their earlier loss.

The Ghana Football Association uses the international friendly as part of its efforts to develop and advance young players.
