Burna Boy - Rapid News GH

Burna Boy , has canceled a live performance that was set to take place this weekend in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The concert, which was scheduled for the FNB Stadium’s 90,000-seat venue, will instead take place on December 16, according to the event’s ticketing company.

According to Ticket Pro, among other things, the concert’s postponement was caused by a “lack of ticket” sales.

However, Nigerian media has cited Burna Boy’s management firm, Spaceship, as accusing the concert’s promoters of failing to uphold their “contractual, financial, production, and technical obligations.”

It said that the ticketing businesses had to make sure that ticket holders received a complete refund.

The management business issued a statement that read, “Sadly, it is with great regret that we must inform you that, despite my team’s efforts, the show in Johannesburg… will be canceled,” according to the Punch newspaper.

It continues, “It is apparent at this stage that the agreed production level needed for this venue size cannot be achieved because production vendors have still not been paid.

“Deepest apologies to all fans, looking forward to seeing you all soon,” it continued.
