The Black Stars of Ghana are now ranked 60th in the most recent FIFA world rankings, which were issued in March 2023.

This is in spite of their most recent win and draw against Angola in the two-game AFCON qualifying series.

The team’s last position in the world rankings came in at number 59 following their participation in the 2022 FIFA World Cup campaign. Black Stars

Despite the loss, Morocco moves up to the 11th spot in the global standings, keeping the Black Stars in 11th place on the African continent.

Senegal, Tunisia, Algeria, Nigeria, and Burkina Faso are a few African teams that rank higher than Ghana.

Black Stars on 60th position

According to the standings, Argentina has risen to the top position in world football. The South American juggernauts have finally won the top spot after a six-year wait, defeating Curaçao 7-0 and Panama 2-0 in recent friendly.

Brazil saw the biggest decline in the standings, dropping from first to third after losing to Morocco, in addition to losing their top status.

After defeating the Netherlands and the Republic of Ireland in their UEFA EURO 2024 qualifying matches, France advanced to second position, passing Brazil.

The top 10 remained unchanged, with Belgium and England continuing in positions 4 and 5, respectively.

The other notable changes occurred outside the top 20, with Serbia, Algeria, Egypt, and Scotland making major advancements. Senegal and Denmark switched places.

Following that, the Central African Republic experienced the biggest improvement, moving up 10 spots to 122nd as a result of their victories over Madagascar.
