Jordan Ayew has put in some impressive recent displays at Crystal Palace, particularly since Roy Hodgson rejoined the team.
Ayew was having trouble contributing under Patrick Vieira until Hodgson took over; in 28 Premier League games this season, he had only one goal and one assist. Hodgson’s return, however, seemed to have given Ayew a new lease on life.
Ayew has now scored two goals and provided one assist in the two games played under Hodgson, which is a big improvement for the Ghanaian attacker.
Additionally, Ayew’s involvement in goals in consecutive games for the first time this season shows that he is rediscovering his form at the right time.
Ayew’s improved play is a good sign for Crystal Palace, who are currently fighting to stay in the Premier League. To help the squad maintain its Premier League status for another season, Ayew’s ability to score and set up goals may be essential. Ayew might be crucial to Palace’s effort to stay in the Premier League if his performance levels stay at this level.
