Kennedy Agyapong confident of victory in NPP Flagbearer election
A potential flagbearer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kennedy Agyapong, has voiced optimism about his chances of succeeding in the contest.
After picking up his nomination paperwork from the NPP headquarters in Accra on Thursday, his team expressed this attitude.
Kennedy Agyapong, who represents Assin Central in parliament and is the ninth person to pick up the nomination forms since they were made available, is establishing himself as a strong contender.
After selecting the forms, Kwame Owusu, Agyapong’s campaign manager, spoke to reporters and emphasized the candidate’s appeal to the party’s base because of his perceived disciplinary nature.
Owusu noted that Agyapong’s opposition to indiscipline and his dedication to the welfare of the country have found favor with the populace. “Honorable Ken does not stand for indiscipline,” he declared. Honourable Ken is truthful in his interactions with the nation. Honourable Ken is a patriot who has shown that he would sacrifice his life for Ghana.
According to Owusu, Agyapong has an advantage over his rivals because of his firm beliefs and dedication to the common people. People want a disciplined leader, he said, since there is so much indiscipline in our nation. When you have someone you consider to be honest and are willing to work for him, you must be ready to face the penalties if you stray from the straight road since indiscretion creates corruption.
The Agyapong campaign team is adamant that Agyapong would win the flagbearer contest because the NPP members will identify with his methodical approach and commitment to improving the nation.
