Oppong Nkrumah – Government fires 3 contractors for not meeting standards, Agenda 111

According to Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, the information minister, the government has begun the process of visiting 88 of the Agenda 111 projects that are now being built.

Out of the 54 sites in phase 1 of the inspection, site number 33 was reached by the team on Thursday, June 29, according to him.

The President first cut sod for the projects at Trede, the man claimed.

“The initiatives are moving along gradually, despite some difficulties. Looking at the progress of the job, 45 of them have been encouraged to complete civil works before the end of this year.

“Three contractors were fired for not upholding criteria. This is something we can accomplish. Let’s continue,” tweeted Mr. Oppong Nkrumah, a politician from Ofoase Ayirebi.

The Agenda 111 project was started on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 by President Akufo-Addo.

The President mentioned, among other things, that the project will eventually create 20,000 jobs for health professionals during the commissioning of the project in Trede, in the Ashanti Region.

He declared that the Ministry of Health would also hire more physicians, nurses, and pharmacists.

The president added that years of underinvestment in Ghana’s health sector had been made evident by the Covid-19 outbreak.

To that purpose, he said that the investments made by his administration in the health sector of the economy were increasing.

“I am pleased that the largest investment in the country’s healthcare has ever been made,” he remarked.We came together this morning in response to Covid 19, which has wreaked havoc in every nation on the earth.

Because of years of underfunding and negligence, the pandemic has disturbed Ghanaians’ daily lives in addition to exposing the flaws in our country’s healthcare system.
