The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, announced that the nation’s 18 registered political parties nominated a total of 1,574,301 Party Agents for the general election.

According to a document released by the commission in the early hours of Monday, the opposition Peoples Democratic Party PDP has the most polling unit agents – 176,588.
It is followed by the ruling All Progressives Congress APC, which has 176,233 votes, the New Nigeria Peoples Party, which has 176,200 votes, and the Labour Party, which has 134,874 votes.
All political parties also nominated a total of 68,057 collation Party Agents and 27 National Collation Centre agents.
According to INEC, Nigeria has 176,846 polling units, but elections will only be held in 176,606 of them because 240 of the total number do not have registered voters.
Kano has the most party polling unit agents – 145,393 from the three political parties of APC, PDP, and NNPP; Lagos has a total of 98,646 from the three political parties; and Rivers has a total of 79,795.
