Piesie Esther, a gospel performer, has said that she has no rivalry with any other gospel performer competing in the Best Gospel Artiste category at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).

Piesie Esther, who is up against Joe Mettle, Perez Muzik, Diana Hamilton, Celestine Donkor, and MOG Music for the title of “Best Gospel Artiste,” claims that she does not see the award as a chance to rub shoulders with any particular person, but rather as a chance for all of her rivals in that category to be recognized for their work.

When asked how she felt about being nominated in the same category as her fellow gospel artists, she responded on GTV’s Breakfast Show.

We are sisters and brothers performing God’s job, thus the W’aye Me Yie singer said: “I am not terrified seeing them nominated for the same category as me.”

Piesie Esther, who has been nominated for seven VGMA awards this year, is certain that she will be successful and thinks that her nominations are God’s plan.

Even if she doesn’t win in every category for which she has been nominated, in her opinion, she is still a winner because the nomination itself shows that the 20 years of effort she has put in were worthwhile.
