Sheffield United considers signing clubless Ghana captain Andre Ayew
The possibility of signing the seasoned Ghanaian captain, Andre Ayew, on a free transfer is being considered by Sheffield United.
The Blades are back in the English Premier League after being promoted last season. Their reintroduction has been difficult, though; Paul Heckingbottom’s team has one point from four games, which they earned in their most recent match, a 2-2 tie with Everton.
The Blades don’t seem to have the skills or experience essential to succeed in the Premier League, despite their best attempts.
Heckingbottom is considering signing the 33-year-old Ghanaian forward, who has an amazing 114 international appearances, in order to bring skill and experience to Bramall Lane.
Following his departure from Qatari team Al Sadd, Ayew, a free agent since leaving Nottingham Forest at the end of the previous season, briefly stayed at the City Ground.
