‘Squid Game’ Season 2: New details revealed

Get ready for everyone’s favorite deadly game show is getting ready to make a major comeback. On Saturday, during its Tudum Global Fan Event in Brazil, Netflix unveiled brand-new, exclusive information regarding the second season of the explosively popular South Korean thriller series “Squid Game.”

The second season of “Squid Game” has a new teaser that features both returning and new cast members, including Lee Jung-jae, who plays the series’ star and broke everyman Seong Gi-hun. The masked character “Front Man,” played by Lee Byung-hun, and Wi Ha-jun, who plays the officer looking for his missing brother who gets into trouble behind the scenes of the deadly game, will both return for Season 2.

The show will also welcome new cast members Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Sung-hoon, and Yang Dong-geun. The series debuted in 2021 and won six Primetime Emmys.

Although his involvement in the game was revealed to be a little more convoluted towards the end of the first season of the show, standout cast member Oh Yeong-su, who played the elderly and modest Oh Il-nam in the first season of “Squid Game,” has yet to be confirmed as a returning cast member.

Season 2 of “Squid Game” has not yet been given a release date.
