Stonebwoy: Naija artistes are successful because they are positive minded
Stonebwoy, a renowned Ghanaian reggae-dancehall musician, has credited the success of Nigerian artists to their positive mindset. According to him, Nigerian artists have a can-do attitude and believe in their abilities, which allows them to push boundaries and create music that resonates with audiences globally.
Nigerian artistes’ success has mostly been attributed to their large fan bases, but dancehall artiste Stonebwoy believes that their success extends beyond that.
Nigerian musicians, he claims, are ahead of their African counterparts because they are aggressive and optimistic.
Stonebwoy’s Speech
“To be honest, I’ve been talking about it with my Nigerian brothers. We’ve been trying to figure this out, but we all believe that the numbers factor is a factor. “I admire my brothers for their tenacity, aggressiveness, and also their mindset,” Stonebwoy told Breakfast Club host Charlamagne Tha God.
Speaking on the Breakfast Club in the United States recently, the Nominate hitmaker stated that while he admired Nigerians for such qualities, he had no reservations about Ghanaian artistes’ instrumental roles in the development of African music.
“And the beautiful thing is that we all tap into that because these are our brothers, no matter how you want to put borders around it, we are one people so it’s all of us in the end. “We play our part, and they play theirs as well,” he explained.
He also revealed that some Nigerian musicians have been thanking Ghana for their success.
“Intriguingly, every one of their A-listers finds inspiration in Ghana. Burna often says that Wizkid lives in Ghana, and Davido is like a brother who is always there for him. We’re all playing our roles out there, and we can’t all be in the driver’s seat,” Stonebwoy noted.
Nigerian Artist’s Impact on the Music Industry
Nigerian artists have indeed made a significant impact in the music industry, and their positive mindset has played a crucial role in their success. They have embraced their culture and used it to their advantage, creating a unique sound that is distinct and appeals to a wide range of listeners.
Their music is infused with positivity, hope, and inspiration, which is why it connects with people on an emotional level. They also have a strong work ethic, which is evident in the sheer volume of music they release. They are always experimenting and pushing the boundaries, which has allowed them to stay ahead of the curve.
Stonebwoy’s observation is spot on. Nigerian artists are successful because they have a positive mindset and believe in themselves. Their music is a reflection of their outlook on life and the world, and it is this positivity that has made them some of the most successful artists in the world today.
Additionally, the success of Nigerian artists can also be attributed to their entrepreneurial spirit. Many of them have taken control of their careers and built their own record labels, which gives them the freedom to create and distribute their music as they see fit. This independence has allowed them to remain in control of their brand and image, and has given them the ability to make quick decisions that are in line with their goals and vision.
Support Each Other
Nigerian artists also have a strong sense of community and support each other in their endeavors. They often collaborate on projects and use their platforms to promote and uplift each other, which helps to create a positive and supportive environment for the growth and success of their careers.
Furthermore, Nigerian artists have a strong presence on social media, which allows them to engage with their fans and build a strong personal connection with them. They use social media to share behind-the-scenes glimpses of their lives, share their thoughts and opinions, and connect with fans on a personal level. This direct interaction with fans has helped them to build a dedicated and loyal following.
In summary, the success of Nigerian artists can be attributed to their positive mindset, entrepreneurial spirit, strong sense of community, and savvy use of social media. These traits have allowed them to build successful careers and make a lasting impact in the music industry.
