US : Husband of 33-year-old Ghanaian woman who died in domestic incident arrested
After his wife, 33, allegedly died in a domestic incident, a 46-year-old Fleetwood man named Harrison Adu Boakye was arrested and charged with aggravated assault in the US last Friday.
For his part in the death, the Fleetwood man was taken into custody on Friday afternoon.
Following a probe by Berks County authorities into the woman’s death, 33, Harrison Adu Boakye, 46, was detained and charged with aggravated assault.
Boakye was transported to the Central Processing Unit of the Berks County Sheriff to be processed and charged.
The investigation is still ongoing, and an autopsy is expected, according to officials.
In an article, The Reading Eagle cited detectives who provided the following account:
Fleetwood police responded to a 911 call reporting a domestic dispute at a residence in the 30 block of Middleton Road at 8:25 a.m. on July 7, 2023.
Officers arrived and discovered the 33-year-old lady inside the house not breathing.
Emergency responders and responding officers attempted to save lives, but they were unsuccessful.
After being called by the coroner, the person was later declared dead.
Detectives subsequently started an investigation, and as a result, Boakye was detained and prosecuted.
