Bawumia and the UK Minister for Armed Forces discuss ways to boost Ghana’s security and defense ties with the UK.
Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia met with Rt Hon James Heappey, the United Kingdom (UK) Minister for the Armed Forces, at Jubilee House.
The meeting took place on Tuesday, December 5, in Accra’s government seat.
The conversations, according to Dr. Bawumia, focused on enhancing Ghana’s security and defense ties with the UK through the UK-Ghana Security Dialogue.
“We also discussed emerging threats in the West Africa sub-region, and Ghana’s strategic role in contributing to the maintenance of regional security, including maritime security in the Gulf of Guinea,” he went on to say.
