Dr. Akoto Osei’s passing is mourned by NPP.
The news of the passing of Dr. Akoto Osei, a former Minister of State and Member of Parliament, has shocked and stunned the New Patriotic Party (NPP). The tragic incident took place on March 20, 2023, a Monday.
Dr. Akoto Osei was a prominent NPP supporter who represented the Old Tafo Constituency in parliament for 20 years.
He was a well-known statesman who worked for the nation as a Minister of State in the Finance Ministry under the Kufour administration and then as Minister for Monitoring and Evaluation during the first term of the Akufo-Addo administration.
In a news release, the NPP praised the late illustrious banker for embodying humility, commitment, and selflessness in his devotion to the Party and his country.
The NPP also offered its sincere condolences to Dr. Akoto Osei’s family and the entire country for the tragic demise of this distinguished person.
The NPP has mandated that all Party flags at the national headquarters as well as in the corresponding regions and constituencies fly at half-mast for the ensuing seven days in memory of him.
