N/R: Interior Minister renews curfew hours for Saboba Township and its environs

Ambrose Dery, the Interior Minister , has extended the curfew for Saboba Township and its surroundings in the Northern Region by executive order.

According to a statement from the Ministry, the new hours will take effect on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, and will run from 10:00 pm to 4:00 am.

The administration is still urging the area’s chiefs, elders, opinion leaders, youth, and residents to display restraint in the face of the difficulties they are facing and to utilize peaceful measures to focus their energies on maintaining peace in the region, according to the statement.

Other steps to maintain calm in the region were also highlighted in the announcement.

The statement read, “Meanwhile, there is a total ban on all persons in the afore-mentioned communities and its environs from carrying arms, ammunition, or any offensive weapon and any persons found with any arms or ammunition will be arrested and prosecuted.”
